Take ownership of the end to end risk and compliance function across the Group, ensure a good risk culture within the organisation. Report directly to the CEO, and responsible for the day-to-day risk and compliance management of the bank. Also need to build a close working relationship with the Board of Directors, external/internal Regulators.

    Take ownership of the end to end risk and compliance function across the Group and to ensure a good risk culture within the organisation
    Build a close working relationship with the Board of Directors, external and internal Regulators

    Requirements:

    Degree holder
    Should station in New Zealand
    Significant experience in risk and compliance management leadership, with a strong emphasis of credit risks.
    Deep understanding of market, operational and liquidity risks will be beneficial, etc.
    Lead, motivate, develop and retain a highly competent risk and compliance team
    Hands-on spirit needed as the team is small at the current stage
    Lead and further develop a risk aware culture across all aspects of the business;
    Deep understanding of the prevailing regulatory compliance requirement in New Zealand, especially in the area of AML/CFT compliance
    Strong ability to work efficiently in a multi-cultural setting and adaptable to the dynamics where multi-tasking is required from time to time
    Exposure to and experience in dealing with Regulators at senior level including relationship development, relationship management, reporting and responding to ad hoc requirements
    Strong ability to set goals, prioritise workload, to motivate and guide staff to complete tasks required and to report to senior management team and the Board
    Capable to speak Mandarin/Chinese would be an advantage, but not necessary.
